Silvère Letellier and Emmanuel Corre, also known as Nummer, are two frenchmen with a taste for twisted, funky and out-there records, Their own music could often be described as ethereal and dubby, with hints of detroit techno, electro and new age soundscapes. This year’s double LP for Going Good, the label run by british DJ Brian Not Brian, was arguably their best record yet, touching on a variety of dance music genres from the past two decades. There’s something about their music that veers to the left though, in a good way.
