IZABELAULINDA LAZAROV

One of the most notable experimental labels of the past few years, Lullabies for Insomniacs, started out as a nocturnal radio show, airing 2-6 AM once every fortnight in Melbourne. Its creator, Izabel, spent 18 months endlessly scouring for music, which laid the groundwork for the label afterwards. The music shifts between shamanic musical interpretations, ghostly chimes, swelling waves, odd rhythms, new age bliss and bad trips. It’s somewhat in line with what Izabel would play out. You can hear some afro synth jazz stuff, brazilian rhythms, and techno in the mix as well, all tied together by a distinct dreamlike quality that Izabel is able to capture so well with the label.

Free before 23 / 14€ after.
