Saturday’s guest Skee Mask rattled the world in 2016 with one of the crispiest dance music albums made after the turn of the century, Shred. Influenced by 90s ambient techno, IDM and jungle, Skee Mask managed to create a modern blend of old school sounds, without falling into nostalgia or sounding quite like anyone else. Indeed, the young German has received appraisal for his DJing as well, making him a perfect act for the second night of what will be a very interesting year (the 9s, people).
