Things happen. Things go. Things come apart. Things show.
OK Sound has for the last three year’s shown Helsinkians (and visitors) music through means of physical real life interaction ie. a record shop. Nestled in the heart of Kallio, OK SOUND has a broad selection of 2nd hand music, from all kinds of dance music to dub and reggae, experimental and beyond. Not to mention new releases that come in from different parts of Europe on a nearlly weekly basis.
This is currently the only stable record shop of its kind in Helsinki. That's to say, a shop with a large collection of dance music. In addition to selling and buying music, OK SOUND is curates a monthly mix series, hosts in-store deejay sessions and throws the occasional party. An institute to cherish and hope to live long and prosper.
This Friday we celebrate three years of its existance with a live performance from dembow killah Ferdelance (Viktor Kalima), UK influenced party series orchestrator Mary Young, Top Billin’s swanky one man festival Sharkki and of course OK's own KG.
